alhasso.com is basically a family website. The
Al-Hasso family root is the city of Mosul in Iraq. The current three generations are
hoped to contribute to the character of this website; as the family members include men and women whose
professional expertise cover a wide range of Academic; Artistic; and
Scientific disciplines. In addition; it is hoped that the site will link to
selected areas of Culture and knowledge base that can promote a fair and
balanced outlook on life and its complex issues. There is an emphasis on
Arabic and Islamic cultures in general and on Iraqi history and culture in
particular, as we hope to promote the wealth of a cultured and
civilised Iraq with roots that go back to the dawn of civilization.
There are many links to various
websites that promote cultural awareness and understanding of the Arab and
Islamic worlds. The site will always seek to include such links with the
hope to provide a wider audience and promote the spirit of friendship
