After
an absence of 25 years,I returned to Iraq in May 2004.The 17
hours journey by car from Beirut to Baghdad was dangerous, exciting
and magical, despite the misery of the prevailing war. In the last 4
years since my visit, my beloved Iraq has sunk deeper into trouble and we
can only pray for better days ahead.
